About the Recipe
A lot of us come up short when it comes to eating enough fruit and veg every day. Maybe you quickly tire of salad dishes? Or you just want something warm when the weather is a little chilly? OK, I get that. So, here is a dish that's easy, quick and it's not a salad. More importantly, it'll give you lots of healty vegetables that your tummy will thank you for. You can eat this as a side dish or as a standalone lunch or supper - either way, it's a cinch to make, quick to prepare and it's good for you!
Ingredients
3 cloves of garlic
1/2 yellow bell pepper
1/2 red bell pepper
1 spring onion for topping
1 tbsp of sesame oil
1 packet of beansprouts (approx. 350g), rinsed
1 tsp of salt or to taste
a little pepper
Preparation
thinly slice the garlic cloves, peppers and spring onion
heat the sesame oil in a large frying pan or wok. add the sliced garlic and stir fry for 30 seconds.
add and stir fry the peppers and beansprouts for 1 - 2 minutes and sprinkle salt and pepper to taste
place the fried beansprouts on a large serving plate and garnish with the sliced spring onion.
your Stir fried Beansprouts dish is ready to serve.
